


| The New London Freedom school seeks individuals, age 21 or older, who are ardently committed to children’s rights and the democratic process, who have a thorough understanding of the Sudbury school model or are committed to educating themselves about it, with the desire to be a part of the everyday school community and model healthy, responsible adulthood and direct democracy for the students. Opportunity for future employment — positions will be paid in the second and subsequent school years. |
| Applicants must have the ability and willingness to make a one-year commitment of 6-40 hours per week. Applicants should have experience with children of mixed-ages and be willing to work with children as equal peers in the daily operations of the school. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to the Sudbury model of education and New London Freedom School through willingness to protect a safe learning space for children guided by the principle that learning is best fostered by self-motivation, self-regulation, and self-criticism. Criminal background check and references required. We will be happy to work with college/graduate students and professors to set up and monitor official internships. |
