"The mission of The New London Freedom School is to create and sustain a dynamic Sudbury-model community in New London, Connecticut, for children ages 4-19 from New London and the greater New London area, where children, who are reflective of and enriched by our central city's economic and racial diversity, are trusted with the freedom and responsibility to be the innovators of their own education and thus, their future."

New London Freedom School admits students of any race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, gender or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, gender or disability in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other school administered programs, employment policies, election of officers, membership to assembly and election to board of trustees.

NLFS Becomes a Founders Group New London Freedom School is in the process of raising funds for the procurement of a permanent physical space! We will re-open on September 14, 2009!  During the next year we will operate as a founders group to facilitate our growth and strengthen our base in the community.  Our mission has not changed and we are graciously accepting new energetic members to the NLFS Founders Group.
